Throughout 2022 IES has been involved in the delivery of brownfields works for MWA on the QGC gathering construction project.
These works involved the completion of 82 live tie-ins (including 50 hot taps and 13 squeeze-offs) and over 100 pipeline tests to help deliver 35 commissioning areas covering 114km of gas and water gathering network.
IES was also responsible for the service identification and live excavation works at each tie-in location, including the nitrogen purging and back fill upon live tie-in completion.
In Feb 2022 IES was involved in the delivery of the David Tie-in Scope, which allowed for the connection of Arrow infrastructure into to QGC infrastructure.
The scope involved a full arrangement squeeze-off on 5 x DN315 gas lines diverting them through DN800 HDPE pipe to an inlet riser allowing gas to flow across the custody transfer boundaries and into the QGC Field Compression Stations (FCSs).
In March 2022 IES tested and tied-in the ATP620 Catchment Cross-Connect package, which included a multi manifold hot tap connection on either side of a 2.9 km of DN450 gas line.
The tie-in involved the hot tap connection into 3 x DN450 and 2 x DN315 gas lines.
